Running this laptop through our battery test, the new Apple laptop clocked in at 18 hours and 56 minutes! That kills the battery life of the M2-powered 13-inch MacBook Pro, not to mention every other laptop we’ve ever reviewed and tested. Right now, the new 16-inch MacBook Pro appears to have the longest-lasting battery of any consumer laptop.

As mentioned above, last year’s MacBook Pro 13-inch reigned supreme with its impressive 18 hours, 20 minutes of battery life. The tested MacBook Pro 16-inch lasted 36 minutes longer. That may not sound like much.
The 15-inch Dell Latitude 9510 is another laptop with an impressive 18 hours and 17 minutes of battery life in the same league. That’s just three minutes shy of the 2022 MacBook Pro, which makes the two laptops pretty even. That being said, Dell’s laptop has a lower-resolution 1080p display.
In terms of battery life, the 2022 MacBook Pro 13-inch (pictured above) is now second only to the 2023 MacBook Pro 16-inch.
